IMMUNITY [sarracenia]

We are the first and only supplement provider in the world to offer Sarracenia purpurea in an easy-to-take, highly purified capsule form. Long used by the Mi’kmaq people of Nova Scotia as a botanical remedy during smallpox outbreaks, this unique North American plant has resurfaced in modern studies for its powerful antiviral potential—particularly against poxviruses like smallpox and monkeypox.

Backed by Science

Sarracenia purpurea has a long history of traditional use against pox viruses, including smallpox. Clinical reports from the 1860s featured in reputable journals such as The Lancet and the British Medical Journal noted promising effects in smallpox treatment [1][2]. In 2012, Arndt et al. demonstrated strong in vitro antiviral activity of Sarracenia purpurea extract against both monkeypox and smallpox viruses. The extract inhibited viral replication comparably to Cidofovir, a licensed antiviral drug [3]. Sunflower lecithin, included in our formulation, enhances the absorption and bioavailability of the extract’s active compounds, supporting more effective immune modulation [4].
