Backed by Science

Iodine is essential for thyroid hormone synthesis; deficiency is a primary driver of goiter and hypothyroidism across populations (authoritative clinical review). [1]

Correcting iodine deficiency improves outcomes in humans: in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, iodine-deficient schoolchildren receiving iodine showed significant cognitive improvements, consistent with restoration of thyroid hormone–dependent functions. [2]

Women’s Health

Thyroid & Iodine Status in Women: Women of childbearing age are especially vulnerable to iodine deficiency. In a randomized controlled trial, seaweed (kelp) supplementation significantly improved urinary iodine concentration in iodine-insufficient women, showing that natural iodine sources can restore optimal status. [1]

Detoxification & Maternal Health: Environmental toxins can affect both mothers and infants. In a controlled trial, chlorella supplementation in breastfeeding women reduced dioxin levels in breast milk and increased IgA concentrations, supporting both detoxification and immune defense. [2]
